Default Where does the power curve stop?

Had a quick question. I have the Mac A/B, Pypes H pipe, JLT II intake, and more importantly, the xcal2 with bamachips tune. I am assuming that the stock rev limiter has been raised or totally removed with the tune. But, where does the power curve drop, meaning, what is the optimal shift point on a internally stock 3V motor?

Thanks

Stang, you are driving my car!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered the exact same thing way back in June, not serialized YET!! Just have to say it looks GREAT, just like i expect mine to when it shows up. Till then i will have to live with the redfire one,,,,,,,
On the powerband, it starts falling off after about 6000 rpm, so it is pointless to rev it much beyond that. Shift at 5800 and you should do fine, and if you take it to the track, try 6700 or 5600 from low to second, then 5800 to 5900 2/3, stay if third till 6000.
A cam(s) and a set of valvesprings will wake up the beast! I have seen dyno reports of 380 rwhp, but with cnc ported heads. But don't let the cnc part through you, these heads flow plenty, and i doubt that the cnc job was worth much on a stock size shortblock.

Greg, good choice on the color there. Why do you have a redfire now? Are you trading in for a VB?

Yeah, I (along with a lot of others) am waiting on a good set of cams to come out. I'm pretty sure the 380rwhp you are refering to is that of BBR's car that had cams and P&P heads. There was extensive debate over at the coral about the vilidity of the numbers to which BBR never answered a challenge to verify numbers on it. So if those are where those numbers came from, I would take it with a grain of salt. Not to mention, they were running race gas during the dyno run.

Good luck on getting your car soon....can't wait for spring!

Thanks, i have an 06 redfire GT because i got pi$$ed off and flew to Las Vegas and bought one off a lot at Friendly Ford down there. Got a much better deal, too. Problem is, I LIKE BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, it was a good trip back(1850 miles) and i now know i want the medium parchment interior as well, and have ordered that in the blue car.
