Default Grille swap questions...

I don't know if I am posting this in the right place, but I have some questions.

I want to swap out the stock grill on my 05 V6. I am totally against any drilling, so a GT grille is out. Is there drilling required to switch to a pony package grille? I've been told no by a couple people, but I like to take vast surveys when it comes to spending big chunks of $$. I was also told that I will have to buy the under the hood harness seperately..any suggestions on where to get this?

The pony package grille, including everything except the harness is $380. Is that a good deal??

No drilling required. The "pony package" grille is a direct swap out part. It is an exact replacement for your existing grille. I did this swap myself. $380 w/o harness sounds a little high, but I got mine from West Coast For $389 complete before they imploded. Check with Kevin at clevparts@aol.com for best Ford pricing. He's a parts manager that gives great discounts to forum members. I got my rear GT sway bar kit fom him. Good luck!

I wouldn't say it's against my religion...but I'm against it.

Thanks!! The guy that has the package for $380 just told me that "he could get me the harness for $300". [:@] Don't think so.

Can anyone acknowledge that the Pony Package grille will mount to a GT bumper without any fuss?? Do the fogs use the same connectors?

It will not fit a GT bumper without modifications. It's too small for the opening in a GT bumper.

I see it now, looking at photos of both. Sucks. I like the Pony grille better. [:@] I wish they'd stop using these minute discrepencies between trims.

V6 grill and GT grill are a world apart on size and fitment design. Don't even consider that route. ...it's not about drilling.

As long as we're talking about grilles, does anyone have an idea where I could find a grille replacement for my 07 V6 that is the black honeycomb, WITHOUT the pony, WITHOUT the pony outline and WITHOUT holes for lights?
