the same thing happen to mine yesterday. They sawed off the bolt somewhat so the pully would not hit it.

One thing I like to add is that tonight while driving to a restraunt and back I noticed my pullys were whistling. Does anyone know what that means? The performance is still there I just don't like noises.

The Steeda pulley set is supposed to come with a new bolt for the alternator bracket. If you did not have one in your kit, then it was incomplete.

Does your water pump pulley have big holes in it? That is probably the source of the whistling. Best to buy the brands without holds. ASP water pump and crank do not have holes for this reason.

If you ordered a Steeda kit, you should have a new water pump pulley which looks like a metal "bowl" with 5 holes in it. 4 bolt holes and a center hole to go over the water pump shaft. A crank pulley. A new alternator bracket bolt, a crank pulley replacement bolt, and a crank pulley pull down bolt ( will be longer than the replacement bolt ).

If you have a different brand it may have different contents.

The kit comes with a "guide" bolt to help the new crank pulley onto the crankshaft keyway. Then you are supposed to use the factory crank bolt to hold the Balancer on. There is a smaller bolt, about a 12mm head, that is suppose to replace the lower-right alternator bracket stud. Look for this bolt and use it!

Hummm.. Mine actually came with a new crank bolt, along with the "guide" bolt that was 1/2" or so longer.

I just recieved my Steeda Udp kit last week. My kit has Crankshaft balancer pulley, water pump pulley, 1 bolt for installation only, and two more bolts.
So 5 pieces all together.
