Tune Decision
I'm going to switch to Bamachips xcal2 tune, however I can't make up my mine which tune to go with. Should I go with the 93 performance tune or the 93 torque tune. For you that have his tunes what is the difference in performance, or how the car reacts. I know you get three tunes but I need to know how the car reacts between the torque and the performance tunes. I have an A/T.
Thanks for any help.
Thanks for any help.
Here's some info from Doug that I received.
"I offer the Performance and Torque tunes seperately because in order to make a good torque tune you have to do a few adjustments that isn't the best for overall top end power. This is why I break it out from my Performance program. They both can be used as daily driving programs but the Torque program is the best in this 1500-3500 rpm's driving range."
"On a 4.0 SOHC I focus in where the factory left off, the mid range torque curve. My 4.0 programs are aimed more at adding more torque in the 1500-3500 rpm range and with the performance program a bit more top end power as well. On all of my products I can raise or remove the rev and speed limiters and on automatics I can improve the shift quality as well. Also with the 05 and newer model's I have the ability to remap the Drive-By-Wire throttle system to further help the throttle response and get rid of that annoying lag time."
"I normally create three programs, an 87 and 91/93 performance and a 91/93 torque, depending on what grade of fuel is available in your area. I've just recently developed a mid grade or 89 Performance program so if you'd like to substitute it for any of the others then just let me know."

Why wouldn't you just load both tunes and you can swap them out in minutes??? That way you can experience both and decide what works best with your set-up. Your handheld will hold 3 custom tunes. Every car seems to react differently so I would try them both yourself and not go off of what anyone else got out of them.
