Default Aiming the headlights

Anyone had to aim the headlights on their 2005 GT? The right one on my car is aimed way too high, and I need to know how difficult it is to adjust.

Thanks in advance,

Why bother? Any shop can do it and it doesn't cost much. It's not worth buying the gear to do it right.

there is a white plastic philip screw on the back of the lamp housing, cw brings it up, ccw takes it down, real easy. mine were too low. strange no left/right adjustment.

and i have the $160 factory and couldnt find how exactly to adjust them, i got it as a search from mod board.

Yeah ^^^^ Proper gear [&:] A nutdriver (its a socket, not a screw as I recall), park on level ground and pull up to a flat wall about 3 feet away and adjust away. I did mine in the dark and it was that easy to find the vertical and horizantal adjusters.

Thats right, I remember it now like it was.....well 8 months ago White Plastic screw. And I do seem to remember a horizontal adjust too, but all I did was up/down because the Saleen is lowered and IMO they didn't re-adjust them. My lights were basically pointed into the ground.

I suppose if you happen to have a nice level area with a wall three feet away. An optical aimer does a much better job.

It's much easier to aim headlights if the wall is like 100 feet away rather than three. You want low beam to still illuminate the wall at that distance, but not anything above headlight height. That will keep it out of the eyes of oncoming drivers and out of the mirrors of people driving in front of you. Being off by one inch at three feet is the same as being off by several feet 100 feet away.

I had to aim mine, they were too low from the factory. I pulled up my wife's lexus and marked on the garage wall with masking tape where those lights hit the wall. i then pulled up my stang and adjusted the lights to hit that line. real simple and much better now. good luck!
