OK, I have to share... I was driving the Stang from Houston to Alexandria, LA last week. Traffic was kinda slow and I had the cruise set around the speed limit . I notice a car pull up behind me and then slowly cruise by me on the left. As they cruise by I notice it is a car load of young ladies checking out the car, as they pass they give me a thumbs up... they get up ahead of me and are looking out the rear window and all, REALLY getting a good look at the car, and I am laughing, because it was really cool to get the attention... then they slow down and get back on my left AND FLASH ME THEIR ****!!! I of course gave them the thumbs up back, as I am grinning from ear to ear and laughing... they were having a great time checking out the car. Best trip to Alexandria I ever had on those back roads. As another positive I got 32.2 MPG according to the computer (I reset it at the beginning of the trip). My wife says it might have had something to do with the stud behind the wheel, but I totally think is was the car... never happened when I had the Trans Am. Anyway had to share...

Ya know I kicked myself afterward for not remembering the camera on my Cell phone, I was to busy enjoying the view, and I guess a little shell shocked

Nothing wrong with attention. Enjoy it as much as you can. When I bought my 05 Stang back in June, people always were checking it out. I would stop for gas and they yell to me that it was cool or nice car. When I was 18 or 19, just starting to drive, I never had a sports car. Always wanted a Camaro or Mustang but couldnt get one. I had to get a job right out of school and buy my own and pay for my own insurance. Never got the chance to be a cool kid in high school. Now 18 years, I finally said, "the hell with everyone and everything, I'm getting myself a Stang." Of course, I'm married and have a 6 year son and just found out we are going to have a baby around October. I might be getting old (36 years old), I still like people to give me thumbs up when I am out with my Stang. My wife thinks it's cool when they yell or blow their horn at me.

Since it's cold here in PA. I still drive the car but I don't go out as my much, I hate the cold. So far the winter has been out here. Nothing that we cant drive in. Can't wait till the spring and summer to get out and wax it and hit the streets. Maybe the thumbs up people wll be out again soon.

damn must be nice.....I went on a highway trip today myself and I got around 15-16 mpg....then again those quick spurts to 140mph+ will kill your average mpg too!

 

It is very nice to see the trip meter read 200 miles and the gas gauge shows over 1/2 tank
