Question Dealer Decal Removal

The dealer put their name, etc. in the form of a decal on my trunk lid
Any suggestions as to how to remove it safely?

Use a hairdryer to soften it up, then use your fingernail to lift it up, or a plastic putty knife or similar.

The dealer will remove it. Just stop in and tell them you want it off.

+1. I used to have to do this with my motorcycles, all of which come with stupid looking "safety" stickers all over them.

This has worked for me in the past, but anytime I buy a vehicle now, I make sure that is done before I leave the lot!

Yeah same here. The car didn't have front plate bracket or sticker. I said I dont want either put on my car. They said no problem! Otherwise Hairdryer, or heatgun. And slowly peel it off.

Hairdryer, peel and Goo Gone for any remaining glue residue. Then wax area.

Thanks for the help guys. I'll try the hair dryer. I forgot they would apply some sort of ad - I would have told them to leave it off.

I got lucky. The dealership waxed my car before they put the sticker on. It came off really easy, it was the first thing I did when I got home. My first MOD!!

LOL

Hey 65Raven, I'm curious about those black plates, how'd you hook that up? They look good. And to stay somewhat on topic, I used the hairdryer/wax method to remove the annoying dealership ad mod.
