HID Lights 10 GT
Hey guys, getting my parts loaded up here for spring time, Im now looking for HID lights for my 10 GT I want a 6000k or 5500K I want the most useful light that is going to help me see better at night! And If I can get any blue tint thats a plus, but I dont want to take away my brightness for just a blue light! So both are a plus if anyone knows which one gives the best look plus the visibility! Anyway main question is I see stangmods.com has them for 447.00 for bixenon and fogs. Does anyone think their prices are a little high or if I could get a nice setup for cheaper with longevity? Anyone have any HIDS yet?

I have the 5000k from Retro-Solutions and they're awesome. Very bright white light. They offer a bulb capping service that NO other company offers. The purpose of the bulb capping is to reduce the glare effect on oncoming drivers. I got my healight and fogs from them for about 350 dollars total. That includes the headlight bulbs with high and low beams.

Check out their 35 watt kits.
Here's a pic of mine installed. First mod I did! This was before I got the capped bulbs from them (got those later). The light pattern doesn't scatter at all now. Very clean.

I highly recommend the 35 watt 5000k kit from Retro Solutions. As Discodave mentioned, get the bulb capping. I first ordered the 50 watt kit then had second thoughts and went with 35 watts. I'm glad I did. It's PLENTY bright enough. I'm not going to lie and say our OEM reflectors have an excellent cut off. As expected, some light is thrown above it. People driving in the other direction haven't flashed their lights at me, but 50 watts would only make matters worse.
Use the "Mustang" discount code at Retro-Solutions and it'll come to ~$189 shipped. 4300k has a tinge of yellow. 5000k is perfectly white. 6000k is kind of an ice blue.
From what I've read the HID fogs are a pain to install. There's also not much room to secure the ballasts. I'd do headlights only unless you really, really, must have HID fog lights.

IDK if anybody has ever thought of doing this. But 9145 is interchangeable with the 9005 Highbeam bulbs (on other vehicles). So if you dont want to go full bore for HIDS 9005 should fit in there giving you more light for only 8 bucks and a few minutes of your time.

I went with regular ballasts. I used industrial zip ties to secure the ballasts and regular zip ties for the wiring.
The discount code is "MUSTANG" - which will give you $20 off the $185 price.
