Default Trapezoidal grille cap?

So I just got a brand new base model 2011 v6. I love the look of the GT500 but couldn't afford it. The main thing I was hoping to achieve was the aggressive front end look. Iv been trying to find if anyone sells fascia that can be installed on top of the end of my hood to achieve the look. I was reading an article and they refer to it as a "Trapezoidal grille cap" wondering if anyone knows how to go about getting a part like that. Would a spare GT "cap" be installable on my car?

heres the article:

trapezoidal grill= what most refer to as honeycomb. It's just the shape of the grille holes. If you want to convert to the GT500 style front end- http://www.latemodelrestoration.com/...t-Bumper-Cover Just be aware that you need more than the bumper cover to do it on a v6. You also need the fender splash guards and have to do some trimming to your foam insert. Optionally also you should get the skid plate (rock guard/radiator guard/whatever the hell it's called lol ) as well but some say you can do it fine without it.

I personally wouldn't do it on a v6 though. But thats just one mans opinion... I think that front end is too distinctively GT500 to toss on a v6. There's alot of other front end conversions that look great as well... The 11 GT/CS is nice as well as alot of other aftermarket ones like Roush, Street Scene, 3Dcarbon, Cervini's, Saleen...etc....

I believe so on the 10's for v6 but I could be wrong...I know our hoods and the 10 GT hoods aren't exactly the same size so my guesstimate would be yes for any "made-for-GT" front end.

I think the "trapezoidal cap" the article and the topic creator was referring to was the trapezoid shaped lower grill on the GT500s, in which case, as posted, you'd need to replace the entire bumper cover.

curious, as to why the hoods would be different sizes? I called the dealership and the parts guy said they used the same hood part # for the Base model v6 and GT. Maybe the guy was wrong.

This isn't the first time I heard this and some manufactures claim there hood only fits the GT too. So i am guessing someones tried or know this for sure. Any input would be great.

Thanks

Sorry for the confusion, I'm not sure anymore myself. I've heard it both ways but I've seen aftermarket "GT only" hood on v6's sooo I'd take his word for it that they are indeed the same.
