Default Flat Black Paint

SO, I have a 2010 GT with one of those magnetic panels on the rear decklid...love the look, and was able to see what it looks like without "committing", but I'm really not a fan of the magnet. I plan on getting the decklid painted flat black by my local body shop.

Anyone have any experience with flat black paint that could give me any tips? Whatever paint we use on the decklid could eventually end up elsewhere if I ever decide to do some stripes or graphics.

Check 2011 Mustang GT CS factory deck lid black out sticker at about $45. Dealer said not available yet. Tough time deciding between that or this which flattens the section out:

Dupont Hot Hues™ Hot Rod Black HHM-6400™

Hot Rod Black is a 2K single stage matte topcoat with excellent satin gloss and color retention. Designed to achieve the required build and appearance in two coats, it provides outstanding chemical resistance, smooth appearance and may be air dried, or force dried by infrared or low bake.

Hot Activators and Reducers can be used with Hot Rod Black to achieve the ideal results based on shop requirements. For stripes or completes, Hot Rod Black is an ideal choice. It will not chalk or fade, so you can do it once, do it right - and go cruising.

Hootna - Like the look of the Hot Rod Black, like the look down to the black side mirrors which was my first mod on a Perf. White 2011 GT - are your wheels anodised ?
