This is my little lesson learned. You can look up on 3M's website to see where they have certified installers near you. The wonderful thing about that is that you get the lifetime warranty paperwork etc. The bad thing about it is that the certified installers charge an arm and a leg. I learned to call around to find reputable guys who do tint. They don't use crap on their cars either, so will usually have 3M and/or Lumar. You may not get the piece of paper giving you that piece of mind, but your pocket will keep roughly $150. I paid $140 for my 3M tint and it looks perfect. The certified installer in town wanted almost $300.

Alright, i called around and I pretty much have 4 options.
1. 3M for $200
2. Llumar for $170 or Llumar ceramic for $300
3. Sun tek for $150 (Local guy that does great work)
4. I could possibly get tint for free through my dealer; they dont do tinting themselves but they do deal with another store. The dealer gave me a $200 services credit for me being unhappy about my car purchase transaction. Solar gaurd might be the brand.
What do you guys think...

SolarGard
I have SolarGard NR Supreme film on my Mustang...15% all the way around, with a windshield strip. I couldn't be happier with it.
I am biased with SolarGard, because my company has distributed their product to tint shops for years. They are owned by Bekaert Specialty Films...product is made in San Diego. They are huge in automotive window films and clear-shield paint protection films, but also flat-glass film for commercial and residential buildings, security film, etc. Their NR Supreme, in my opinion, is a fantastic film. It was the first thing I added to my Mustang. My wife's new ride has an appointment to get tinted with it this coming Monday morning. One thing I really like about the SolarGard NR Supreme is the clarity - You get no distortion, ghost imaging, etc. It has excellent clarity, color stability, drys fast, uv protection, etc. http://www.solargard.com/Auto/Supreme
I've got nothing against Llumar, 3M, etc. They have excellent films as well. Some of the other lesser known brands, I would personally stay away from. A lot of that stuff is made in India, Korea, etc. Might look great now, but what about in a year or two?
If you can get the SolarGard with your credit through your dealer, that one is a no-brainer to me. BUT, as someone said here, your tint job is only as good as the installer. You want a professional. A hack will make any film, no matter how good, look lousy. Fortunately, mine was installed by a friend of mine who is a pro - No bubbles, dust, etc. I love it.
Good luck!
