I took my car to the dealership today for some modification
The loaner they gave me (a focus S i think) was, I would guess, tinted 35% front and 5% in back. My point is that most of the time, cops won't harass you for tint unless it's ridiculously dark like 5% all around.

Looks nice and I wish tinting front windows was legal in CA. The last time I tinted my front windows, about a decade ago, I got two tickets within 60 days so it came off and I haven't done it since. I notice they are more relaxed about tinting in SoCal vs. NorCal. I like to drive fast and don't need another reason to focus attention on me. Good luck avoiding the police.

Functionality-wise, I'm loving the 20%. They must have used a different type of tint than my Focus had, because it's definitely darker, but now I no longer need sunglasses while driving.
