Default Cleaning the black plastic trim

Alrighty, Im an eagle scout, so i support the BOA fundraisers whenever I can. This past weekend the scouts had a car wash for $5 and for another $10 they would wax it. So i wrote a check for $25 dollars, and the washed and waxed it. They did a good job, but in a couple areas they waxed the plastic trim at the bottom.... Which no matter how hard i scrub, they dont come off....

What can I sue to clean them to get the wax off!

I think armor-all will work to get the wax off. If not, also try goo-gone or something similar.

I have found mr Clean magic erasers will take it off the trim. Oh and buy a few cause they break down pretty fast and you need to scrub pretty good with them.

I've had good luck with "Back to Black". It's removed wax, bird pooh and even revialized some trim on an older vehicle I have.

I have also had good luck using Back to Black to get wax off of the plastic trim on my car. I scrub the area with the wax using a cloth soaked in Back to Black, then go back over the entire trim piece.

back to black does not remove the wax..it basically hides it and you cant tell its there. Even if you scrub with it. it will last a while but after so many washes it will come right back cause it will wear off. Mr Clean magic eraser works, I have heard also just get the large pencil erasers from the store and they work as well.

get a good APC (all purpose cleaner) and a tooth brush. Go to town, there are a few other tricks, but that usually does a good job. Dawn soap/degreasers work well too.

After that is done, then do the Mother's Back to black to treat it and protect it.

Next time, just give the kids the $ and save yourself the trouble.

I like using 303 on my interior..it has SPF 40 in it so it keeps it protected as well. Works well on exterior trim as well and the SPF will help stop from fading as well.
