Removing vents and tape

Removing vents and tape
This weekend, I want to take the window vents and door tape off of my 2011 v6.
Does anyone have experience doing this?
I'm pretty sure the vents are on with doublesided tape. Can anyone confirm this? I don't want to try to pull them off only to find that they're screwed into the frame.
Also, I was wondering if the paint under the tape will look darker than the rest of the car. My car lives outside and has about 3,000 miles.
Finally, I'm considering taking off the "side scoops". Similar to the vents, I'm assuming that they're double sided tape, but same concerns.
Any input is appreciated.

There's another thread where guys are removing the stock GT spoiler and installing a GT 500 spoiler. They talk about slowly working their way around the spoiler carefully pulling up on it as they break the seal of the tape. You might find some advice there. Good luck.
