Default got my 3DCarbon GT500 spoiler

Came in today..the spoiler itself looks really nice the way it fits with the mustang..but I am not sure who painted it or if was shipped from 3DCarbon..The paint quality isnt very good..it has more swirls and scratches then I have ever seen before..it had some low spots on the edges and just well the quality of the paint is putting me off..I buffed it with 2 passes with an orange pad and Ultimate compound then with the white pad and Menzerna super finish and it still is scratched to hell and back..I will live with it for now since I cant drive it. but most likely I am going to have it repainted come summer time. I will go take some pics shortly..my fingers are freezing from being out there so long working on it.

Hmmm .. Sounds like they got a new painter ... this is the second one with a bad paint job reported on the forum ... prior to this all were perfect .. including mine.

I'd call 3D Carbon and talk to them and see about getting a new one.

Its already on the car. To get it off with that tape will be way to much then just living with it and just have it resprayed this summer

Oh I didn't realize it was on with tape. I thought it was like the 05-09 with just the screws.

So this is what I had to start with..the whole thing was swirled like this

Here it is after I buffed it out

notice the paint rub towards the bottom..GRRRR

paint rub..and there was a buch of chips on the underside right where the spoiler meets the car..but it was right on that edge that unless you get under the spoiler and get about 2" you cant see them

On the car

shot of the car

I cannot wait till spring..I am doing all new electric in my garage, all new lights..a TON of them, doing a garage floor coating, putting up a ceiling, and painting the walls white to make it much brighter
