get the 275/40/19 rear and 245/45/19 front. it will look great. those style wheels you got will look good with it. the style makes the wheels look bigger than they are, which will make your tires look a little smaller. also remember, 275/35s will be over 1/2" shorter than 235/50/18s.. so youll have over 1/4" more wheel gap in the back.

check out shanem's thread with his new wheels installed. he has 285/40/18s with tsw nurburgrings and they look good. 275/40/19s would have a smaller sidewall.

i would go 35, my rears are 40 series in 18 and the 19" would give you that tall and fat look in the back, i am not a big fan of that myself. i think 35's on 19" would give you the same profile, though id go 285 rear myself.

Yeah but 275/40s have .3" less overall sidewall than the 285/40s you have..

With it being a 19" wheel it'd be 27.7" tall vs 27.3" stock and you would have a 19" wheel vs an 18". So your sidewall will be smaller with either a 275/40/19 or 275/35/19. Just a 275/40/19 would look better IMO than 275/35s..

But the OP doesn't like "balloons". He also prefers flat chested women.

hahahah. im just sayin that 275/40/18s have less sidewall than he has stock, which is what he asked for... and with the style wheel he has, the wheels will appear a larger diameter than they actually are, making the sidewall look even smaller.

C'mon Nuke, you don't like the Stagecoach look...lol

Seriously, IMO any more than 19s with 245/45 on them loses the Muscle car look

I am not trying to make my car look like an old muscle car..I dont like old cars at all and dont like the look of them. So not trying to duplicate anything about a old time muscle car.

She's your ride. Plenty of pics on the forum to get ideas over. Plus, the calculators will tell you the sidewall height variance for all your choices. It seems that the guys that remember the original Stang lean more towards rubber and those in diapers lean towards the bling... I mean, wheels.

Yeah, I like to yank peoples chains, but it's all in good fun (usually, since the more mad folks get the harder I yank).

I have 285/35 on the rear and 245/40 up front on my 19s if it helps.
