Default 2010 V6 Trual Dual Exhaust Questions!! Can someone help me with this?

Hey what's up everyone?

Well I was looking at newtakeoff.com 's website and found out that they no longer have the 2010 V6 true dual exhaust set-up. So I called customer service and they said I can buy the 05-09 set up, and just buy the 2010 GT Takeoffs off someone since the 05-09 tips will be flush and are too short and won't stick out (which I do not want). I just wanted to know from you pro's on exhaust...will the 05-09 dual exhaust set up fit my 2010? And is that really all I would need is the GT Takeoffs? Please let me know...

Also I have someone that's offering to sell me their rear valance but it's off the 2011 model. The lady over at Newtakeoff said the 2010 and 2011 rear valances are different, is that true or will the rear valance from the 2011 fit my car? Please let me know guys, and let me know any suggestions you have.

the only way the valances are different is that they have little indentions in the middle on the 11 and the 10 GT valance is the same as the 11 V6 valance. the exhaust will fit but like the lady said you will need some 2010 GT mufflers.

Okay cool, so the 2011 rear valance will fit my 2010 V6 no problem right?

These are the 2005-09 GT tips on mine (I was told the mufflers were the same from 2005-10, they were wrong )

VS the 2010 GT tips

I got the 2010 Mufflers from EBay for $70 shipped to me, 90 bucks for the Left GT pipe from Ford (right pipe is the same at the GT)and 120 for the X-Pipe from AM. You will also need the left Muffler Hangers and a 2.5 inch Band clamp if you go this way.

Damn that's a big difference there. Thank you for the pics. I guess I'll grab the GT Takeoff mufflers off of ebay and buy the 05-09 True Dual conversion kit minus the 05-09 GT mufflers.

Siber Express, no offense but they still look too short by about an inch, or is it the camera angle? Although better then the 05-09 mufflers being recessed LOL those look like they barely make it to the cutout for the tips! any profile shots of your car with these

Looks to me like when cutting out the Y pipe for the X it was cut too short, or the x pipe was pushed too far forward.

Try CJ Pony parts, I bought a duel ( Ford Racing ) exhaust from them
for a 2006 V6 I had. Worked great ! looked & sounded awsome !
Was a little expensive thought.

Okay thank you I'll look into that

Anyone else know where I can buy the 2010 GT Takeoff mufflers? I haven't found anything on craigslist and ebay there is one person selling them but that guy is asking for $125 plus $40 for shipping!!! He's crazy!!! I see everyone on here paying from maybe $60-$75. So no way am I paying that much. I posted a WTB thread but no one is selling it I guess or have seen my post I guess lol...is anyone on here selling their 2010 GT Takeoff mufflers? Or what about buying the whole 05-09 True Dual conversion kit with the 05-09 mufflers and just cutting off the tips and replacing them? I wonder if that would work? I really want to stick with the GT Mufflers and tips though but if all else fails I guess I can do that right? What size is the tip anyways if I go that route? 2.5 inch?
