I am thinking of blocking off my 1/4 windows completely. I want to remove the glass and have some new sheet metal welded in so the area is flat. I know it would need a repaint, but I plan on doing it when I get the stripes painted on the car.

Has anyone seen this done? Have any pictures? Would love to see it before I just do it and become the guinea pig for it.

I think it would look pretty cool and would be definately different from the other stangs out there.

What do you guys think?

It would be kind of like the GT350.

Well, between the three of us, we think it would look awesome. but we need pics, or if someone want to photoshop it for me, I can supply a couple of pics.

uh...i could get in paint and paint it...it wouldnt look even close to the same color though lol

I don't have the metal blanking plates, but I'm using the saleen extreme ones. The pictures might give you a better idea of what you are looking for.

Look at a 69/70 fastback and you get the idea.
You could also put an emblem of some kind like the 69 had.

As far as looks, I'm note sure if it'd be an improvement...

The 70 is where I got the idea from. Plus, it would be so different from what every one else has done. I just don't really care for the louvers on the sides all that much....too many mustangs have them. Plus most of them are really the same idea.



That is an interesting look. If it just didn't have the concave part, I might go that route.

Maybe some alternatives to all that work(these are advertized as 05-09s but maybe you could find out if they would fit... otherwise I'm sure somewhere else makes similar ones for the 2010s and up):

Thanks for the links. That would save a bunch of work and money. I like the first one. I will have to see if they will fit.
