Anyone have painted rear valance? Post pics!

Because there are a few *** hats on the design team! I really don't know who at Ford says "Gosh...that looks good, Carl...good job!" If I was on the design team for the new Mustang, I would have said "Fix that S now!" They should have made much cleaner lines for the lower part of the bumper cover similar to the 2005-2009 GT/CS. BUT...the painted ones do look much better than stock.

Those are SEXY! And the gray one has the look I'm looking to go with. Just bought my 3D Carbon GT500 replica spoiler and I'm waiting til it arrives. My next one will be the GT500 rear valance and that's the look I'm going for. Can't wait.

My car is in the paint shop now for some other work. I might have gone there if I'd had the money, but the real reason I hesitate, and probably part of the designers point, is that the valance, particularly the front, is disposable. It took me three weeks to curb mine and the replacement is about $60 to my door. If I painted all the lower parts, I suspect it would only be the first of many times. The molded in color parts are very forgiving....
It does look great, though!

Reason they don't do it factory is that not necessarily the rear valance, but the rockers would get chewed up like hell by road debris while driving. Right behind the front tires, mine are roughed up from little bits and pieces thrown up on it, I couldn't imagine having it painted since I'd always be upset about the damage.

It was a key design element to have the black plastic, It is to make the vehicle appear smaller than it actually is.

That being said, It looks great painted! I love the red GT in the center!
The lower part of the rear fascia is now a contrasting black with a molded-in diffuser. The darker color reduces the visual height of the rear deck.
