Been contemplating Saleen hood and just seeing this, any difference or does Vis manufacture for Saleen or something. Can't wait to see it with pics on the car.

Sorry about the poor photography it was taken by a Friend and he texted the picture to me. I took some but it was dark and hard to see. First, I weighed the carbon hood at 24.5lbs and then my factory hood came in at..... 33lbs. as for fitment I had to relieve the bolt holes in the hinges so I could get the bolts in but other thank that its fairly easy. I still have to work out the washer nozzles they are in but the hoses need mounted. and not sure it I should put the gasket thats on the back of the hood on. More drilling and nail biting. And for those who hate carbon hoods on any car thats not black. Don't worry or complain because its only temporary. I intend to have some paint squirted on it so calm down. Not the whole hood just part of it. I will post more pics tomorrow or the next day before I remove the hood for paint.

I set it down lightly and then pressed it into place, There doesn't seem to be any play up or down and the latch lined up perfectly

It looks pretty damn cool with the stripes, IMO.
Very good looking, OP.

Thanks. I ordered a carbon fiber blackout pannel also. Plus a few other parts I am really excited to get it to paint.

Looks great, can wait to see it when you're finished. Do you plan on hood pins? That's the only thing stopping me from replacing my factory hood.
