Need help finding a new hood.
#31
Finally getting the hood damage fixed, but I can't decide on a hood. I'm leaning toward a 3" cowl, but I'm looking for other options. I like the design of the stock hood, but hate the stick on scoop. Are there any hoods that look similar to that? Like a cowl hood with a scoop or something?

That hood looks great, notice no hood pins, any problem with the hood vibration? I know the front air is functional, are the rear vents as well, to dissipate heat, or are they decorative? Your car looks awesome.

Thax man im really happy with the way it came out. You are correct about the main scoop is funtional but the vents on the sides are just for estedics. The carbon fiber inlay looks frickin nasty :0P unless the light hits it right you can't really notice it until you walk up on it. I just posted a couple more pics that really show you carbon fiber and what I'm hiding underneath it :0o

Got my car back yesterday and, though I like the look of the Trufiber hood, I'm not crazy about the fitment.
It's like this on both sides:
That's really my only complaint besides the fact that their website said it would come with a reinforced hinge and didn't. The shop guys had to fabricate a plate for it.
The gap at the leading edge of the hood is from the billet grille not being built right and pulling the shroud down. I'm going to have to shim the shroud up:
All in all, I'm happy with it. I'm going to have to get a washer nozzle relocation kit though.

Sorry I didn't notice you had already got one on before. I this that cowl looks badazz. I was up in the air on that or the on i got. After looking the pic on here of them I think I would have been happy either way. You're fitment issue is an easy fix if you have not already done so. Undo the latch bolts a little and pull you hood forward till it matches up then after you tighten the bolt back down a just the hight of the two hood springs on each side of the latch. You can even move the latch up and down if it's not snapping in tight so you don't need hood pins
