Hey all,

Working on my first appearance mod on my 2011 GT/CS. I really love the look of the black grilles and decided to order a Roush 7 bar billet grill from stage3. I didn't realize at the time that the CS grill (surround) was different from the regular GTs and that the Roush grill isn't a direct replacement.

I thought I found a site that said it can't be done with with CS surround but I can't find it again. After combing through this post (https://mustangforums.com/forum/2010...umbers-34.html), I haven't found anythig definitive.

Essentially I want this look (bad photoshop) where I keep the white pillars but with a black grill:

the part number for the surround is the same (#8419) for both. The different is the part with the fog lights in the grill but that comes out for the roush piece so I think it should work but I do remember seeing a post somewhere that said it can't be done.

Anyone know for sure? Also I know the 2012 GT/CS's have the black grill and that may be an option but from what i've seen, it's pretty expensive.

I would rather not return the grill (pay shipping back and restock fee)

ok well after continued digging (and not working). I think I've found the answer. It looks like it can't be done without replacing the surround or buying a 2012 GT/CS grill.
