I just looked this up for you.
Check it out.
The Defi VSD.
It's a universal HUD set up that pulls from your ECU.

Also I don't know if this is true or a prank.
But I also read something about the IPHONE having an app for this?

"Iphone has an App for that:
only really works well at night,
But it does work well."
And here's a link to a video of it?

WOAH check this out! Two versions on the IPHONE app list!
Again though the guy on that forum said it only worked well at night

Odds are this DOES SUCK during the day.

Here's a link I found on the Defi VSD.
Did a google search and their homepage is written in Chinese or Japanese.

So here's a link I found to a person talking about it and posting a video of it
in their car. Googled it and it was on a 350Z forum.
http://www.350zmotoring.com/forums/m...orks-tach.html

Here's a pic of it in his car.
Note there is a unit you must put on the dash so it's not factory.
That would take a special windshield I believe.

Ive got one on my android phone and zoom. Only works at night unless you get this stuff to stick on your window like you see in the picture above.

I bet you could tint that part of the window and it would work during the day

There are several apps for Androids. I use one called Ulysse Speedometer Pro. It has a decent performance timer, speed warnings, custom colors, etc.

I think I did see an actual HUD install kit once. I'll have to see if I can find it again.

OK, Autogauge has one. It looks like speed only: http://blog.autostyle.co.za/2008/01/...ds-up-display/

D1 Spec has a more complete display: http://www.d1spec.com.tw/style/frame...6217&id=315723 & http://www.d1spec.co.za/Products/Ele...p_display.html
