Default Whats the deal with the offset on RTRs?

Well it will be a good long while until I can get new wheels and tires since my exhaust and tint this month but I was loving the look of the RTRs on the candy red metallic. I heard that they have a really strange offset that makes them stick out super far...can any RTR owners/experts please elaborate?

Not super far just a little. And there are many arguments if it too much or just right. It is a matter of opinion. This might be worth discussing but there are so many wheels that look similar or better are lighter cheaper and stronger and fit inside a bit more. RTRs just aren't the only game in town.

to me they stick out to far and stopped me from buying them..I also didnt want to run a 9.5" wheel up front..I wish they woulda made a 19x8.5 35mm front wheel and the 19x9.5 40mm rear that would fit much nicer I think.

So what is an offset that will put the tires close to flush with the fenders but still a safe distance away so that I don't eff up my tires on my fender?

Runner, are your rear wheels concave/deep dish? Also, do you have the same width tires all around or are you staggered?

the rears are a concave exactly like the RTR and they are 9.5" 40mm offset
the fronts dont have a concave since they are a 19x8" upfront I am running 245/40 front and 275/45 rear
here you can see the rear better

I've never owned a daily driver for which I couldn't rotate the tires, how big of an issue will that be if I'm doing 60+ miles a day?

These wheels may be slightly concave in the rear but nowhere near the shape/depth of RTR's. I'll post some pics of my RTR's later on my black 2010 and let you be the judge. I'm biased....I own RTR's....but they look SO much better than these. No offense.
