Passing Inspection in New Jersey?
I'm getting a 2013 Mustang GT soon and I'm already planning my mods. But my question is how far can we go these days and still pass inspection? They are now doing a LOT more to make sure everyone is running their stock maps in NJ.
I was looking at CAI's and it says the normal size intakes don't need a tune but a larger 4" will due to the newer OBDIII technology which will throw a code and potentially break the ECU if that much air is flowing.
Can I pass with an intake and a tune? I currently have a 2011 Jetta 1.8t that won't pass unless I go back to the stock programming, no way around it.
Thanks.

You'll probably have better luck posting in a different section. How far you can go is up to where you live. If you were really set on getting a certain exhaust system you could always just swap it for oem once a year for emissions.
