Obviously you haven't seen some of the Mustangs driving around, especially in lower income/class neighborhoods. Every piece of plastic chrome trim that Autozone sells, $150 3M sticky spoiler that weighs more than the driver, plastic spinner hubcaps, Flame and bullet hole stickers all over, etc.

Just because you drive a Mustang, it does not automatically assume that you have class or that you automatically have taste.

This.

There was a late 90's Mustang that would drive b y my old office many years ago that had a grray primered two teir wing that stuck up above the roof. Freaking sacriledge was all I could think when I saw it.

OP,

The window louvers and mirror covers add a really nice touch! Good choice going with the Eleanor styled louvers too. I definitely think you should look into some SR Performance springs after your pick up those 19" wheels. The perfect ride height is essential IMO!

I don't know why you care what other people did to their car. If they felt it in enhanced it, so be it. We don't have to like it, and I don't, but I don't discount them for doing it.

I am sure if they could afford a newer model with nicer mods, maybe they would do it, but if you actually thought when I said WING I mean the thing you posted, then obviously you haven't paid attention.

To me, a WING is what ever is attached to the barren deck lid on the back. I personally feel those who put the CS wing or GT500 wing on their S197s are misrepresenting their cars. Mine came with the spoiler/wing it has and that is what will stay on it. If it didn't have it, I would have orded the same small wing/spoiler I have now.

Just ordered the side scoops. Should have them installed in about a week. I'll get a pic up as soon as the sun allows

I know. Black was my first choice but the one I was after got sold before I pulled the trigger on the purchase. Fortunately a friend of mine was driving a '12 rental in black (thanks to the tragic loss of her Sentra.) and it showed every bit of grime that came into contact. I'd have to live next door to a car wash to keep it looking nice so I was kind of waffling. The salesman I was working with was, fortunately, a prescient man and had lined up a sterling gray that he could get me. They had a GT convertible on the lot and it looked good on a cloudy rainy day so I said /cringe, let's do it.

I'd committed to writing the single largest check I've ever written.

Then I took delivery on a cloudless summer day and saw the thing in sunlight. It's like looking at a stealthed starship the way your eyes can't seem to quite get the silhouette. And then you get behind the wheel and realize you can't really see where the car ends and the road begins.

It's still turning heads everywhere I go.

There is apparently a misunderstanding here. I'm west coast where the term "wing" for a car mod is a bit different from your interpretation. Here in the northwest it refers to a rear spoiler of an extreme height and of questionable function. Something that actually has a function is called a spoiler.

Wing is a derogatory term here. That was why I looked for clarification and attempted to present an example of what the difference is.

Personally I'm undecided on adding a spoiler. The '10 and later have a nice uptick on the trunk that gives a lot of spoiler feel without the need of a spoiler. My problem is 7 years of my old '00 that had just enough spoiler so that I could see where my trunk ended when backing up. I kind of miss that.

When I mentioned wing, I meant like what mine has... spoiler, wing, bump on the trunk... whatever.

^^^ That, or maybe the CS wing/spoiler/bump is as far as I will go.
