Yup, all 3M tape. From the way they feel I'd say it's nearly as good as welding. Wheel's are coming in March when I get my bonus check. Still likely going with AMRs but I want to stop by a shop here tomorrow and see if they have anything I like better.

 

Looking at that but everything I can find seems to be chrome and that's the opposite of the direction I'm trying to go. That may change if an experiment I'm doing next weekend goes the way I'd like it to

 

Did you try ebay? Thats where I got mine from BBR.

 

I'll give that a look. My biggest issue is I've never had an after market antenna that didn't reduce my reception. That's a big deal to me as I do a lot of driving during the day and need traffic updates (it sounds silly but it's saved me many hours over the years)

 

Steeda makes a shorty antenna (polished or black aluminum). I got a black one, and the reception seems to be fine.

 

I didn't notice a loss in reception but I hardly use the radio anymore.

 

Cool! What finish are you going with on the AMR's?

 

Goin with the charcoal. Saw some pics of those on another SGM '13 and about wett myself .
