why do you want to stripe ( or not stripe)?

do you like the stripes? if you like the stripes then you should stripe. You have permission to do as "you" like. It is your car. Everyone has an opinion on stripes but only yours matters. Best of luck on your decision.

I like the flat black myself (on my car) you really can't go wrong with that black background you are working with. My vinyl stripes didn't come out perfect...I think I might try it again with plasti dip. its like a paint you can simply peel off if you don't like it. that is a way for you to try different colors and different types of stripes. I stay stripe it!

yeah, there are a ton of videos on it on youtube. check it out. You can get it at lowes or home depot. I'm going to give it a shot this weekend.

I have been thinking about doing matte black stripes on my black 2011 since I got it about 4-5 months ago. Are the stripes in the first post paint or vinyl? I was thinking the vinyl might look a little cheap but the 2 posted here look freakin great.

For what its worth....in the picture mine are vinyl and in a flat black. I love them. I just put them on a little crooked and I need to have a pro give it a shot.

Thanks minion, what kind of care do you need to take with the matte vinyl? I've heard some people say do not wax matte stripes at all costs, other have said they wax right over them. Do you use vinyl protectorate?

the most cleaning I have done was the car wash. I heard the same thing (don't get wax on vinyl) I never got around to researching it. if I do wax...I plan to get real close but try not to touch them. I really haven't had a chance to research it much. but my car needs a wax for sure. so...I got to figure something out soon.
