Default Question...

Has anyone put the stock GT500 hood ('13) on their regular GT? It should fit, shouldn't it, or am I missing something? Also, will this hood work if I decide to go FI next summer or will I need to change it to a Super Snake type hood for clearance? Thanks!

I'm asking because I like both style hoods but you can find a take-off gt500 hood for about a 1/3 of the price.

Huh? I guess my idea must be an original one.

I looked into that a few months back, and all my research showed that the 2013 gt500 hood is the exact dimensions as the standard ft hood. Same fitment. So it should work well for you. But For me, I changed my mind and got the Cervini type IV ram-air hood instead.

Would the GT hood fit on the V6?

Yes. For 2013, all the hoods are interchangeable. I'm hoping to sell my GT hood to a V6 owner in the Las Vegas area.
