Thinking about getting the CDC performance grille off of americanmuscle.com. Looks great and seems pretty easy to install after watching some videos. My only setback on pushing the submit order button is the lack of protection it provides to the radiator. Does anyone have this grille and had any problems with it? Has anyone put any type of like mesh or something between the grill and radiator? HELP!

I can see how that would be a concern! However, I honestly think you'll be okay. You may get some slight nicks or bugs on the radiator but I don't think you'll run into any serious issues. This grille came factory on 13-14 GT500's, if there was any serious safety concerns Ford wouldn't have made this a factory grille.

I haven't seen anybody do some sort of mesh modifications etc.. but I don't think it would be a bad idea. IMO it would take away some of the looks of this grille but I think there's ways you could probably still make it look great. Maybe some sort of Mesh or something along these lines on the actual radiator, would probably eliminate any issue.

I have it, and have since August 2012. No problems, and I have put over 30,000 miles on the car since then.

 

I've had mine on for about 3-4 months now, no issues to report either!
