My buddy has a 2011 GT with 19" wheels. We were discussing his desire to get bigger tires in the back. I think he currently has 255's all the way around.

My questions to you are....

Those 19" wheels...I am guessing they are 9.5" all the way around. Am I right?

If they are 9.5", will a 275 tire fit on them? He would like it if he doesn't have to by new wheels.

A 275/40 19 needs a 9 inch wheel, I was running mine on the stock 19's for a bit on my 13 that are 8.5.
Since you said 255/40 19's I am thinking it is a Brembo car since the optional 19's were 245/45 19. The Brembo wheels are 9 inch so the 275 will fit.
