I found this thread in another forum.

Here's the important part.
The thread later on says he's using the same fuel for dyno. Man, if a tune alone will get me 13rwhp and 20ft lbs, and doesn't kill my MPG, that's all I need.

The same car we tuned last night and took to the track hit the dyno today.
2011 V6 Auto with 2:73 rear gears on 17 inch wheels.
Hot off the street, no tricks, no cooldown just a fan and locked in 4th gear.
247hp/236/tq
10 minutes to load our custom tune onto the car and pulled again.
260hp/256tq
Thats 13hp and 20ftlbs of tq with just a tune, nothing else and nothing fancy, just hotlapped and heatsoaked.

My Dyno was done in third gear,RWH HP 257 tq 233lbs..
2011 Auto, 3.73 rears tune on Dyno SCT. Coming soon Heavy Duty Upper Strut Mounts (pair) Koni PORT Yellow Adjustable Shocks/Struts, set of 4 * Sway Bar Package 1 (3-position Adjustable/Tubular Front & Rear Set) Sport Springs Lowers the vehicle approx 1 inch front, 1 1/4 inch rear.
Front End Aligment.

That's sounds pretty typical for a standalone tune on an '11 V6 from what I've heard and read, too. A tad more air and some tune adjustments and that will likely come up a few more HP.
Custom tunes on the 05-09's didn't hurt fuel mileage with the exception of those that couldn't keep their foot out of it. No reason to suspect the '11 will respond any different.

Wow, I like the claims and the tune numbers, but...I don't understand locking the trans in 4th.....I posted over there to see if I can get an answer on this 4th gear lock thing. Until then, I'm suspicious, but really hopeing there is something to this espicially since its an AT, & 2.73 tune...............Best regards Plum

This is a 6-speed auto that you move to 1,2,or 3 and will stay locked in that gear.
To get into 4th you move lever to D, now how do they lock it in 4th.
The new 6-speed stick they would use 5th gear as that is 1-1, not 4th gear. Not a 5-speed.
