They are claiming 10 rwhp and 10 rwtq for even a 87 tune. I believe they actually said 10-12, but let's go with a very conservative estimate.
If we go by Motortrend's dyno numbers of 268rwhp and 260rwtq, that gives us 278rwhp and 270rwtq.
That works out to be 320 horsepower and 310 torque at the crank on 87 tune.
If you use premium gas, BAMA is claiming 15 rwhp and 15 rwhp. (They actually said 15-19, again let's go conservative.)
That makes it 283rwhp and 275rwtq. That's 325 hp and 316 tq at the crank.
By comparison, a stock 2010 GT with a speed shop custom tune gets 284rwhp and 307rwtq on premium. (I've seen 290/310 claimed once before, but that seems atypical. Maybe with a really skilled tuner.)
So the canned tuned stock V6 2011 is the same as a custom tune on stock V8 2010 in horsepower. It is short 35 torque though. And they said the V6 couldn't be tweaked further.

The ford racing tune will suck. I can tell you that. Why? Because they need to keep it in retrospect of warranty purposes. They will not make it that aggressive. All they did was change the TI-VCT on the car. They will not make an all out race tune. Just watch.

I posted this on another thread but this email is coming from BAMA yesterday so I want to see the tuner and the results in a week if everyone claims BAMA has the tunes, I'm saying everyone might be ordering and not getting for 2 to 4 weeks. here's the email from yesterday.
Jerry,
We are still doing testing to refine the tunes and it looks like a couple weeks now before they are available. As for Lund, he is another tuner that has been able to get his hands on a V6 very early. If you have any other questions please let us know.

Great Thanks all I needed, here is a post from another thread to using diablo tuner..
interesting
I've been running my 2011 V6 Auto with Diablo Sport's tune in it for about two months. Let's just say the dyno number increase is greater than what I've read about another tune within a similar thread. After installing a 3:73 rear last week, my car has completed its transformation from a quick V6 to a Fast V6. It chirps into every gear, yes the limiter is off..
Camaro V6's were never really a threat when my car was stock. Now, with the tune and gear, they aren't even worth toying with. 2010 Mustang GTs, unless also tuned and geared, can't keep up with my V6 Pony.

Jerry,
Yes, we did just release the tunes a little earlier than I expected. The tunes can be ordered on our website and the turnaround time is about 2-4 days. If you run into any issues on the website please give us a call and we can take your order over the phone
