no tune , k&n or cai?
thinking about just buying the drop in filter for my stang , reason for this is , im not gonna be tuning it .
so my understanding is that the stock tune really wont make use of all that extra flow from a full cai.
your thoughts?
also with a drop in filter and axle back borlas how much do you guys estimate my quarter mile time will drop? i have 273 gears and i know stock the car should hit 14.2 at best.

You might pick up a tenth and with the silencer removed you will see that it's a free cai. Free mod Woohoo .... Maybe 14 flat. Gears will give you at least 3tenths tho

It's all worthless without a tune. Get the tune before you get a CAI if it has to be that way. You really won't pick up any noticeable power. Just about every single mod you can do without getting an adjustment to your tune is pretty much worthless performance wise. In fact, the only one I can think of right now is tires. And sometimes, depending on if you change the size of the tires or not, you do need an adjustment in the tune.

You won't gain anything with a drop-in K&N and, if the stock exhaust on the '11 flows as well as on the 05-10's, you won't gain anything there, either. You best bang-for-the-buck in RWHP gain is a tune (short of going FI), like it or not.
