What is the offset of the new wheels with respect to the OE wheels?
As far as tire width, the specs on sites like tirerack.com can provide the recommended wheel width range for tires. 275's are typically the widest for a 9" wheel.
Use this calculator to pick a size that'll keep your new tire O.D. equivalebt to the stock tire O.D.: http://www.discounttire.com/dtcs/infoTireMath.dos
