Official 0-60 thread!

Oops missed tge 1/8th mile part. Also there are gps based tools and tuners that can measure your 0-60 pretty acurately. I am also aware that driver skill plays a lot. It also plays for 1/4 and 1/8. I also agree with your statement about first to a fistance being more important to first to a speed. But to some first to a speed is important nonetheless. The way I see it a good 0-60 should give an indication of how well you will feel the initial acceleration.
Anyways one of my main goals which i forgot to mention on this thread was to compare launching techniques which is another seemingly untouched subject and the 0-60 was to compare the outcome of a launch

Question, does your device also measure 1/8 and 1/4 mile times?

Geez the op was trying to have some fun sprinkled with numbers and people are poo pooing on him, shame on you guys! On the 0-60 thing, all the car mags find a way to figure it out so it can't be all that complicated. Cheers

Car and Driver, Motor Trend, Consumer Reports etc all have electronic tools that allow them to measure everything from 0-60, skidpad, 1/4 mile, 5-60mph and even braking distance. Some of these tools are even relatively affordable AND accurate. So it is possible. And even if it isn't for most here then the point was just to have fun with it and compare results. Anyways do as you like if you wanna pitch in fine if not so be it.
