So i am not the only one having this problem, i dont have a mustang anymore but an 02 corvette. I installed and O/R magnaflow X pipe, on stock headers and a corsa catback, everything was ok with corsa until i put that damn xpipe on.

The sound almost makes it sound like a beater car, but at very low volume, all going on inside of your exhaust pipe. I seriously wanted to cry everytime i had to accelerate, because it literally sounds like ****.

So this isnt a BBK specific problem, nor a mustang specific problem, it carrys over to corvettes and magnaflow. I am ordering longtube headers that come with an offroad x pipe, and throwing this piece of **** in the trash.

If you have any updates on your mustangs, please do tell me. Almost makes you not want to drive dosent it?

And since corvettes have bigger engines, i have more exhaust fumes going through the pipes at lower RPMS, so mine starts getting the sound at about 1.5k rpms, which i cruise at 60mph at 1.2k so thats not a problem, but when i accelerate, pure ****.

I think it sounds good even though the quality of the video is not stellar

It is not ricey at all, you guys have to remember this engine is different from the old 4.0, this has a more european feel to it, go and take a look at how a last generation M3 6cylider sounds

I called the BBK headquaters yesterday. Asked to talk to a tec person.
I explained to him what I was getting with their exhaust system. Without going he said I said thing, he pretty much said "HUH". He did not ask any questions at all. Was sort of taking a neutral kind of stance.
My opinion, not to helpful.
I guess my option is Kooks when they come out.

I do like the performance result of BBK and for the most part the sound.
Will work on getting a video of the sound this weekend. Will post if it comes out well.

when i get my set , im going to remove cats and have my exhaust shop re-use my stock xpipe , if it sounds like trash , ill have him take out the xpipe and make a custom H-pipe. As they did with my truck. Have also heard some gutted out dummie cats give a deeper tone since they are hollowed out . Thats my plan!
