Default My perfect tune

For cruising at least. I have had some issue with the 2500 rpm minimum shift when I use the 3.55 gear option. The shift is somewhat abrupt under very light throttle application. Actually my wife is the one who wanted a somewhat smoother shift to 2nd under this condition.

I had none of the other problems pointed out in some threads about roughness when slowing down. I asked for new tunes from Bama and requested they reduce the firmness in the 87 street tune only to about half way between what they usually do and stock. I figured that would smooth out the 1-2 shift at low throttle and guess what? It did just that.

Now I`m happy with the better low speed response the street tune brings and the wife is also happy with the way the car feels. The best of both worlds.

This vert won`t spin tires on launch from idle at all and spins just a little from 1500 rpm runup against the brakes. However it still gets good rubber on the 1-2 shift under wot just as it did when firmer.

I also made a 39 mile cruise stock and with the "s" tune and the fuel economy appears to be very much the same. I`ll get it to the US131 dragway in a few weeks and see how each of the 87s, 87p, and the 93p tunes do.

Ya`all have fun now, ya hear.

Oh, it will but I have to use the brakes to get it started. Then, like most of these I could probably bald the tires. Kinda fun now and again, isn`t it.
