Default K&N CAI....Too soon?

I only have about 700 miles on my stang. Is it too soon to install a CAI? Also, this one is not CARB approved so wondering when I go into the dealer for the check up they'll have a problem with it.

I wouldnt say it's too early..As for the checkup and CA smog eventually, keep your stock parts, swapping the intake really takes just a few min once you've done it a few times. What the dealer doesnt see wont hurt them, Without the CARB sticker, you will fail CA smog, dont bother trying.

Is that a tune-required CAI? And did you load a tune? If it's a no-tune-required CAI, you'll likely see little to no power gain AND stand the chance of still throwing a code for running lean. A CAI & custom tune combo is the only way to go.

Talked to a tech at K&N and no tune required. I'm getting a tuner from American Muscle so I'll be loading that up also. I plan putting the 3.55 in next so I'll need to adjust.
