Default Block Heater

I recently purchased a 2014 V6 and it didn't come with a block heater. I purchased the car off the lot from a more southern dealer but I live in the north and require a block heater. I have purchased the correct components to install but am looking for advise as to the exact location of the plug for the heating element to screw into. Is it on the drivers side, passenger side, high, low, can I get to it from the top or is it a under car operation on these cars. Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Hmm...now this is a heckuva question! I'm pretty sure Mustangs didn't have a block heater available from the factory, but I'd be unsurprised if there are some other applications of the same engine that did.

Go go gadget Google...standby!

Got it! It was used on the Flex and the Lincoln MKS/MKZ (among others)...

Hope that helps!

My mustang has a factory block heater. It was originally sold in Michigan and lists the heater on the window sticker.
