Default 2014 3.7 stalling randomly

Howdy folks,

I would like to start off that my car is NOT modded out the rear, it only has a K&N drop in filter and a set of dynomax VT mufflers. Just recently, my little baby would, at random, stall. There is no fight to stay running, no sputtering, no lurching, just a cutout, as if you are shutting your car off at a stop. The car stalled while in motion, three times, all three different speeds. One at 70 MPH, another at 45 MPH and one at 25 MPH. The car will start and drive normal up until it warms up fully, but until then, it will crank no issue. Battery is good, alternator is good, spark plugs have been tested and cleaned, the coils test good, I tested the fuel pressure and it is normal. Is there anything else that I should check? I ordered a SCT 7015 X4 tuner and for the time being, am going to run the preloaded tune, as most people have said that is what the issue is.

Thanks in advance!

David

Any codes? You can get codes checked at places like Autozone for free or wait for your tuning and use that to check codes.

You should be still covered under warranty?

If there seems to be no rhyme or reason to it, the first two things that come to mind are (a) bad fuel - try adding some HEAT or StaBil and/or (b) bad battery. I had a battery in a different car that would just upchuck occasionally and dump the ECM. If you've got the stock battery still in there, it might be worth checking that out.

^ I agree, the battery needs testing. Sorry to hear you are having issues, I have a 14 that's slightly modded for track use occasionally. 41,000 and no issues on SCT 93 octane "canned" tune.

I am not under warranty anymore. I'm 11k past my warranty. Even if not for the miles, it went out February.

As far as the battery goes, it has been replaced, and had you read my post, I tested it and it is good. Reread the post to refrain from posting suggestions that I have already checked

I would clean the mass airflow sensor for starters.

Update. Problem solved, as some others who had the issue told me, I ordered an SCT X4 and loaded a preload tune. I'm not impressed with the tune itself, and will soon order MPT, but my car no longer stalls. I drove it for about an hour around the area looking like some creepy dude, but I was testing it. Let it get warmed up for about 30 minutes, no stall, an hour of driving, no stall, parked it and let it run for about 15 minutes, no stall. Thanks for the tips anywho.
