Angry Oh boy another ticking sound

So I recently just installed some BBK short tube (tuned length) headers, and after countless hours of diagnosing (and failing), I have given up. There seems to be a ticking noise coming from underneath the drivers side cat-area? The noise only seems to appear when accelerating at above 30mph. If I am just coasting, the noise doesn't appear, but the second that I push the accelerator, boom, there it is. It almost sounds like the faintest exhaust leak in existence, but I have almost completely factored that out.

If anyone knows any reason that it might be happening, I would love to hear from you!

BBK did have some shorty headers with bad welds (exhaust leak) get by quality control and sold a few years ago. With a small mirror, look for a small blackish colored area along each and every weld. That will be your ticking noise. Unless you have a gasket not seated right....

Default BBK shorty headers

I also have the same exact problem as you described with the same headers but haven’t been able to find its source!
