351 swap
i have a 79 with a 302 and a c4 trans. just wondering if a 351 out of a late 80's bronco would fit the trans and what else would i need to get it running. its a complete motor, like would the factory electronics work on it.
i just did the same swap.my motor came out of a crown vick so i did not have a lot of hassles.to make it cost effective there is a bracket you can get for all of you acc.from late model resto.the oil pan from a 351 pwerd car will work.but then again i think the 302/351 pans are the same for pass.cars.i'm using stock 302 headers and exhaust.the electronics shouldwork but i would go with an eecIV module.if you go with a low profile air filter you will not have any hood clearance issues.make sure you have the propper flywheel.

I've been contemplating switching the 351 out of my '93 Bronco and putting my 302 into it, but it would cost me so much more money to get the 351 up to the numbers I have now, considering the stock Broncos were 210hp/310tq if I remember correctly. That and the fact that the 351 has 213,000 miles on it, lol.
The Bronco would sure be quicker though, with the 302 in it. Shame it weighs 6300 lbs, haha, pushing twice the weight would make a huge difference.
