Default 351W

I can get a free 351W out of a wrecked 96 E250 Van. Just wondering if it is at all possible to put that into a 91 Lx? if so, are there any special mods needed?

oh yes get it, its for free. and i am pretty sure its a roller block. i plan on this same swap. look in the 351 section ^^^ above and see how the swap is. in there at the top you will find the "5.8 conversion" thread.

drop it in.

You will need to upgrade heads, cam, intake and headers though to see big power.
your stock computer will run it fine.
stock trans will last for a while, but upgraded 351 can definitely break it.

I was thinking of upgrading my h/c/i on my 5.0 anyway, so instead i am thinking of doing it to the 351 while it is in between vehicles. could i be looking at close to 400 rwhp with that?

easily. that's the same motor i've got. it's a roller and used stock 92 electronics to run it. just need a different distributor to use your computer. with some high flow heads like afr 205's or 225's and a good cam and intake you'll make near 400.
