Default just got my 418W

Last week I bought a 93' LX to make a bad street car out of. This week I traded my mustang II for a 418W. I remember most of whats done to it but hes emailing me the flow numbers and cam card and stuff. But it has 4340 forged crank and rods, JE flat top flycut pistons, Aluminum heads (i cant remeber namebrand) but they have been ported to outflow AFR 225 heads, 1.72 roller rockers, Custom grind solid roller cam 727/721 lift 260 something duration I'll post the specifics when I get the info. Also has a super victor intaske port matched to the heads, 850 holley carb, he had it all built at a shop in Easley SC. The builders said it should make around 680 at the motor at 7500rpm. Here's a link to the pics http://s157.photobucket.com/albums/t...18Wstroker.jpg I'm gonna post pics as i build it theres also pics of the car on there

sounds good, but you may want to step up to a 950 carb. that 850 won't support 680 hp. good luck

Im not saying that Mike93SVTiswrong but I would imagine that carb would be fine. Who knows until you try it out. I just may be too conservative because Im used to seeing people around here buyin the biggest cam, carb, heads and so forth for their stock 283. Like I said the carb may be too small but I would try it out before you buy another one. Just my $.02

Quick Fuel Q-Series Carburetors - summitracing.com

Blake Carburetion
i have a quickfuel and a blake carb.
both run better than any bg or holley ive ever had.
i recomend at least a 950 for that set up

I would run a prosystemscarb. They will custom make you a carb to match your heads, cam, intake and trans. It is cheaper then a BG or a Holly Hp.I run one and my cam is just as big as yours, and my carb only needed to be 785cfm and Iamgoing 132 MPH in the 1/4 on only 362 CI.

Thanks Matt Paul

P.S. Just so you know they are the manufactuers of the Worlds Fasts Carbs. If you go racing just look at the big boys Hot street, Pure Street Carsjust an example.
