69-70 was the strongest casting on up until the roller blocks, you should see the pictures of a 69 and the roller blocks side by side. Hardly see the webbing in the late
model Windsor. Although I cant say much for the old 3m crank, tough to balance, but the dooe heads, could be made to flow decent, but for thetime and machine work cost, you can get a decent set of aluminum heads that will skunk the oldies. Voice of experience speaks for it's self. The old blocks arew still plentiful as many Fords ran them, just have to learn how to ID thy 351.

yep and i am picking up a 69 block THIS weekend!!! i will take pics comparing a late model (69 block) compared to the roller block which i also have its a 96

^ sweet find jasp. looking forward to the comparison pics. how much hp do you think the '69 blocks can handle? i would love to get an aftermarket 351 block but $2k+ is a lot of coin.
