Default 351 Fox Oil Pan

Will an Oil Pan from a 351 powered Crown Vic or Van work in my Fox or would I be better suited with the Swap over stuff from Ford???

I've read that the Pan from the Crown Vic will actually work. But, to be honest you should just buy the swap pan. It's pretty inexpensive.

I dont know if they would work or not. I have the 7 qt Moroso oil pan, it's nice but pretty pricey.

lol, seriously.

USMCrebel, dont speak if you dont know the real answer. 351 in a fox requires a special oil pan to fit. you can't just use any pan.

i have heard so many different setups for the pan and motor mounts. i would like to hear from some people who have actually installed a 351. what motor mounts and oil pan did you use and how much of a cowl hood did you need. also is your car efi or carb.

i will be getting my car sprayed in the coming weeks and would like to have it spray and trim a hood for me while he is doing some work and i would hate to get a 2 inch hood or any kind of hood and have it not be enough. or on the flip side not even being able to need a aftermarket one.

I just did the 351W swap into my 86. I kept the stock crossmember setup. I'm using some Solid motor mounts that I picked up off ebay. And I purchased the FRP 351W Swap pan. I had to buy a cowell hood to get it to clear, but it all worked out nicely.
