Default Worth it or not?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/351-W...spagenameZWDVW

saw this on ebay, its a 351 out of a old van, not sure how high the price is going to go but its near enough to me to pickup... what should be my top bidding price? will this even fit in a mustang? Sorry to ask maybe dumb questions to you guys but this is going to be my first non 302 motor purchase.

Heck I don't know. It's at least worth a grand for the motor and rear end. the only issue with 9"ers is they weigh a freakin' ton. But they are bullet proof. I would be willing to at least go a grand. Just lowball and see how it goes. And yes a 351W is a 351W so it will fit into your car, with a ittle help

Are you planning on keeping it stock. I would assume you are not. I would not pay $500 dollars for it, even if i was going to keep it stock. You can find a 351 block already removed for a lot cheaper.

ok, i have no idea what its worth, ive only done some stuff with 302 blocks before so if anyone could give me a price range i should pe looking to pay that would be helpful. Also how rare are these kind of motors, to avoid shipping and what not i might be checking the junkyard.

If he wants to keep the 9" it would be worth a little more than $500 for the combo. Shop around for 9" rear ends and you will see they are gaining popularity again and commanding pretty good prices.
