Ok boys and girls, my 89'GT with a fresh motor will turn over fine but will not start! I checked and I have fire if I pull the spout connector out but not with it in. I am getting fuel to the injectors because I have fuel pressure, but they are not pulsing. I tried an inj. pulse light and no worky. What do you think? Bad ECU? I have a new fuel pump, injectors, regulator, rails, etc. I can hear the pump come on when I turn the key on to prime, but the injectors are not pulsing. I have all ready replaced a shorted ingition switch as well and checked my relays. Any ideas? I am about ready to pull my hair out on this one!!![/align]

Check all your fuses. My stang had a TON of electrical hack in it. Bad ign switch shorted a bunch of crap out, burned up some wires. I'm not sure if the ignition sys controls the injectors or not.

I'm not sure either? I all ready checked the fuse box and only had 1 blown fuse. It was the one that ran the interior light and a couple other things inside. I replaced it and it is still good. However, After initially replacing the ign. switch, It still wants to keep cranking after I turn the key switch off. It makes me wonder if I still have an issue there or if it is the clutch safety switch? I have sincereplaced the pig tail plug in to the ign. switch because there was2-3 singed wires at the harness end. This didn't help anything either. Any other ideas?

Check the injector harness ground? check them all while you are at it, and see if you have any codes.

Im not to skilled with EFI but my taurus had the exact same problem and it was related to the CPS (crank shaft position censor)

I checked the computer ground, chasis ground and HEGO grounds. all were hooked up. Are there more? I have also tried a new computer. No luck. I'm not sure if the 5.0 has a CPS sensor or not. Iwas thinking it didn't? I thought about just carbing the car, but all ready have everything set up EFI and hate to have to change it all up again and spend more $! I know it's going to be something simple if I could just find it. I'm about ready to push it off in a lake some where. I put over $6000 in this motorand can't even hear it run. Bummer.
