If it has 4 barrel heads, keep them. I made good power with the stockers with just a 3 angle job and diff. springs when I switched to a Crane cam. I dont think aftermarket heads are worth the $$ other than aluminum heads obviously being lighter.

There are many ways to reach your goal, 4v heads, aussie 2v heads, assuming the bottom end of the motor is good I would simply have it gone through and leave it stock aside from getting better pistons. If you go the 4V route make sure they are closed chamber, nothing wrong with OC but it is harder to find pistons to make some compression.I found a bare set for 200, once you have heads, I would call someone like Jay Allen and have a chat with him, tell him how fast you want to spend and he will make you a great cam and either sell you, or recommend what supporting bits would work well. You will need to replace the stock valve in the heads, they are two piece and like to come apart with expensive consequences. Roller valve train, good intake and a well matched carb, just that will put you at your goal no induction needed.
